Privacy Policy
The Japan Graphic Designers Association Inc. (hereinafter “JAGDA”; also referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting customer privacy and personal data. This Privacy Policy covers how JAGDA processes personal data collected and received through the JAGDA ONLINE SHOP (hereinafter “this site”).
1. Definition of Personal Data
In this Privacy Policy, the term “personal data” means the information about a living person, which contains the name, the date of birth and/or any other descriptions by which a specific individual can be identified (including information that can be easily collated with other information so that a specific individual can be identified).

We collect and use the personal data of customers for the following purposes:

4. Entrustment of Personal Data
In cases where the personal data of customers is entrusted to a third party due to an entrustment of business involving handling of personal data of customers, we select an appropriate partner who has implemented security measures to protect such data, and we take all appropriate and necessary actions including, but not limited to, entering into contractual agreements concerning security management measures, confidentiality, terms and conditions of reentrustment and any other matters realating to handling of personal data with the partner to protect said data.
5. Data Security
We take organizational, physical and technical measures to prevent and minimize risks, such as unauthorized use, loss, manipulation, destruction or disclosure of personal data.
6. Customer Ability to Manage Personal Data
If a customer wishes to know what personal data we hold concerning them, or if a customer wishes to rectify or delete any personal data we hold, we will take prompt, necessary and appropriate action in responding to such requests.
7. Use of Cookies
We use a technology known as a “cookie”* to enhance service usability. Customers may set their web browser to disable cookies, however, please understand that if cookies are turned off, certain parts of the site may not be viewable.
* Cookies are small pieces of data sent from the server computer and stored on the hard drive of a computer.
8. Use of SSL
We use a security measure known as “Secure Sockets Layer” (or “SSL”)* to prevent interception, obstruction or manipulation of personal data entered through online transactions.
*SSL is a protocol that establishes an encrypted connection between the server and the user. SSL provides privacy when sending information through a website.
